Salted Dark Chocolate Almond Bark

I’m going to be honest, I totally did not think I was going to like this as I am not a fan of dark chocolate most of the time. Oh my gosh was I wrong. This is amazing! The sea salt added on top just makes this incredible and even a non dark chocolate lover like myself ate way too many pieces. So easy to make and it is perfect for your holiday treat plate.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 tbsp plus 1/2 tsp coconut oil
  • 10 oz dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Sea salt

Instructions

1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and spread the almonds evenly. Bake for 8-10 minutes until almonds are slightly toasted. I usually only do 8 minutes.

3

In a small saucepan, add coconut oil, dark chocolate chips and vanilla. Cook on low until fully melted.

4

Remove from heat and mix in the toasted almonds.

5

Spread evenly into prepared 8x8 pan and sprinkle desired amount of sea salt on top.

6

Put in refrigerator until hardened and then break into pieces.

Notes

Go easy on the salt. When I first made these, I thought I was barely putting any and they turned out really salty. They don't need much salt to be amazing.
