Need a cute and fast Halloween treat? These Red Velvet cookies with White Chocolate spider webs are just the thing to make. They are my cake mix cookie recipe but instead of adding the white chocolate chips to the mix, you simply melt them and then pipe on a spider web. Super cute and the kids will love them!
Red Velvet with White Chocolate Cookies
An easy to make cookie
Ingredients
- 1 box of Red Velvet cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips or black writing gel (edible)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine cake mix, eggs and oil. Drop rounded tablespoon sized dough onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow cookies to rest on cookie sheet for 1 minute before you remove to a cooling rack.
While cookies are cooling, melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals until completely melted.
Place melted white chocolate in a piping bag fitted with a very small round tip or in a plastic baggie with a tiny snip of the edge cut off. Pipe a spider web onto each cookie.
Melt dark chocolate chips the same way and place them in a piping bag to create little spiders on the webs.
