I have always been a simple roast type of girl. Nothing fancy but my friend and best hairstylist ever told me about making roast this way and I was intrigued. Kind of sounded odd but I thought I would give it a try. Oh my goodness, I will never go back to making roast any other way. This was the best roast I have ever had! Best part is it is so easy to make.
Mississippi Mud Roast
Juicy and full of flavor
- 3-4lb chuck roast
- 1 stick of unsalted butter
- 1 packet of au jus gravy powder
- 1 packet of ranch powder
- 10+ whole pepperoncini
- 1/2 cup pepperoncini juice
In a crock pot, add all ingredients. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
Once done, remove meat from crock pot and discard the fat. Shred the meat using a couple of forks or leave the meat in large chunks.
This meat is amazing on a sandwich or with a side of mashed potatoes and a fresh veggie.
