Jerky
Can be made with venison or beef
Ingredients
- 3 lbs meat, sliced to the size and thickness you desire (We use deer meat but beef works as well)
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup worcestershire sauce
- 2/3 cup soy sauce
- 5 tbsp hickory liquid smoke
- 3 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 3 tsp pepper
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- 1 ¼ tsp chili powder
- ¾ tsp garlic powder
- ¾ tsp onion powder
Instructions
Combine all ingredients and add meat. Marinate for 2-3 days, mixing every day.
Dehydrator Instructions: Place marinated meat evenly on trays and set for 5-7 hours.
Oven Instructions: Set oven temperature at 160 degrees. Hang meat in oven from racks using skewers. Cook for 5-7 hours.
