Crock Pot Lasagna

Lasagna is one of my favorite Italian dishes so put that in a crock pot and I am all in. This recipe is perfect for fall and will warm your tummy and heart.

A feel good recipe your whole family will enjoy

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 5 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 1 28 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 3 cups shell pasta, uncooked
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • Shredded Italian cheese

Instructions

Mix together tomato paste and diced tomatoes in crock pot.

Add raw beef, broth, minced garlic, parsley, basil, salt and pepper.

Put lid on crock pot and cook on low for 7 hours or on high for 4 hours.

When there is 30 minutes left of cook time, add in the water and noodles. Stir and cook the remaining 30 minutes.

Top with shredded Italian cheese.

Notes

This is more like a soup when it's first done and then thickens up as it cools. I have eaten it both ways and it's just as good.
