Stuffed Mushrooms with Cream Cheese and Bacon
An easy yet delicious appetizer
- 1 large package of white mushrooms, washed and stems removed
- 1 (8 oz) package of softened cream cheese
- 1 (3 oz) bag of bacon bits
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Shredded cheddar cheese as topping
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix cream cheese, bacon bits, onion powder and garlic powder in a medium sized bowl.
Using a spoon, fill the mushroom caps with the cream cheese mixture and top with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
Put on a baking sheet with sides and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the mushrooms are soft when you gently squeeze them.
Green chile is also amazing in these. Add as much or as little as you like of diced green chile to the cream cheese mixture.
