Best Ever Homemade Alfredo Sauce

My family LOVES alfredo but I tried every single jarred brand until I decided that there must be a better way to do this. This alfredo sauce is so thick and creamy and it literally takes 15 minutes to make. By the time you are done boiling your pasta, you will have sauce ready to go.

Serves: 6

Thick and creamy and SO much better then store bought

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese-cubed
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 6 oz grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

1

Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat.

2

Add cubed cream cheese and garlic powder. Use whisk to fully combine. It will take a few minutes for the cream cheese to fully melt.

3

Once fully combined, slowly add heavy whipping cream, whisking in between pours.

4

Finally, add parmesan cheese and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.

5

Remove from heat to allow sauce to thicken while your pasta is finishing up.

Notes

*You can use half & half and even milk instead of heavy whipping cream but it will not be as thick of a consistency*
